Simona Gherghina is associate professor with the Faculty of Law of the University of Bucharest, teaching Public Finance Law, Banking Law and Financing of Public Investments (the latter within the Master Programme of Public Procurement, Concessions and Public-Private Partnership of the same faculty). She is also Director of this Master Programme.
Simona Gherghina published several books, articles and contributions to collective volumes on sovereign guarantees, public debt, financing of public investments and successfully participated in national and international research grant competitions, being awarded a post-doctoral research grant on „Financing public investments: between budgetary and legal limitations and the public interest imperative” (www.publicinvestments.ro) and also acting as a senior researcher in the Romanian-French joint research project „From Fiscal Compact to Constitution: Shaping a Legal Form for the Balanced Budget Rule” (www.fcbb.cdcip.ro).
Simona Gherghina has extensive experience as lawyer in matters related to public finance, financing of public investments, public-private partnership projects, concessions, project finance, equity investments.
