Luminiţa Roşca

Dr. Luminiţa Roşca is Professor in Journalism at the University of Bucharest, where she teaches Media discourse analysis, News writing, Newspaper Management.

She is member in the Scientific Committee of the Social Sciences department of the Institute for Advanced Research – University of Bucharest (ICUB), and she has rich expertise in academic evaluation as a Member of the Commission for Social and Political Sciences, within the Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ARACIS) since 2011. She was vice-dean of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication Studies (2008-2012) and Head of the Journalism Department (1996-2000). She is a MC substitute member for Romania in the COST Action IS 1203 “In search of transcultural memory in Europe (ISTME)”.

Dr. Roşca holds a PhD in Philology (University of Bucharest) and participated in numerous scientific and professional traineeships, such as: program for trainers in Media Education, Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, University of South Carolina, USA (financed by Freedom Forum) and École Supérieure de Journalisme, Lille, France (financed by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs).

Among her latest books:
