The H2020 COURAGE project, which made a digital database with collections of “cultural opposition created during communism, has arrived at the time of evaluating the results! The ICUB researchers who worked on this international project would like to share their three-year experience in managing the project. What means a European project which finances research only with the condition that results are freely accessible to a large audience and in a suitable form for readers that are not necessarily specialists? What means the digitization of social sciences and humanities and what problems might occur in the creation of electronic databases? What dissemination events are absolutely vital to demonstrate that a research is financed not only in the interest of the researcher or his/her institution, but of widest possible categories of target groups? Finally, what is it that one can hope to achieve for the personal professional career at the end of a H2020 project? We hope you will be curious to find out…
